Happy Birthday Mozart

Neither a lofty degree of intelligence nor imagination

nor both together go to the making of genius.

Love, love, love, that is the soul of genius.--Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

This is the birthday of Johann Chrysostom Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (27 January 1756 – 5 December 1791)

I realize that not everyone finds this day significant, but I just cannot help myself.

Happy Birthday, Mozart!!

Sweetened it into a phrase of such delight......

from the movie, Amadeus

Act1 -1 Le nozze di Figaro (Met'99) - Overture-duet

I pay no attention whatever to anybody's praise or blame.

I simply follow my own feelings. ---Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

Thank you, Mozart, for the beauty that you left as gift long after you left....

Blessings, dear ones,

Hi CG,

I care about Mozart's birthday! He is my favourite classical composer and I love the quote about love, love, love being the soul of genius. The clips were wonderful reminders of his heavenly music. Thank you for this post!

Darn. It was Mozart's birthday and I didn't even know it. I feel bad.
Thank you CG for reminding us.
I will go home and put the "Requiem" on in his memory.
Happy birthday Amadeus!
