Becoming Aware of Life’s Calling

How does one become aware of their calling in life--at the level of 'knowing' it to be so? How do you know that you are not already on that path?

You do what is yours to do.
There is no menial tasks, no failures.
Such things exist in the perception, not in the painting.**

As is often the way with intuitive/spiritual knowledge, one must first release what we 'know'' to provide space for something we do not know to come in. Preconception is a blockage.

Learning the new or regaining the old cannot take place as long as you hold some contrary belief in that place of the picture especially fitted for the truth you seek.**

Perhaps you have already glimpsed the answer but do no accept it because it does not conform to what you 'know' or expect—it may well far exceed what you have come to accept as possible for you. It may also currently be in a form that is most contrary to what you are willing to accept at this time.

One thing for certain, a calling is something that picks us, and that makes it not necessarily something we would pick.

Words do not contain truth, but may reflect the truth that you hold within.
This is my truth. Only you can determine if there is any value in it for you.

C.G. Walters primarily writes fiction that focuses on the multidimensionality of our loves and our lives. His current novel, Sacred Vow is a metaphysical novel about a man who responds to the mysterious call of [his soulmate], opening the way to redefinition of both himself and his understanding of the world around him…Highly recommended. —Midwest Book Review.
